Glimpse of the Royal Crypt located in Laeken Belgium , The first stone was laid in 1854. The church was in 1872 put into use, but was only completed in 1907.Here all the deceased members of the Belgian royal family are buried, except for members who were laid to rest elsewhere by their marriage. The management of the tombs falls under direct command of the king himself, who personally manages the crypt on behalf of the members of the royal family. The Belgian state has no authority in the crypt. Who is buried in the crypt is not a matter for the government. Although the tombs are provided for two bodies, the tomb of King Leopold III contains three royal bodies. As King Leopold III ordered that Princess Lilian was buried in his grave. info wiki. photographer Ivo Meeus
