Lycian Tombs of Telmessos Turkey "The Lycians seem to have held a belief that the souls of their dead would be transported from the tombs to the afterworld by a sort of winged siren-like creature, and so often placed their tombs along the coast or at the top of cliffs when they were not integrated into the liveable areas of the cities." Lampa, Peru ossuary tomb of Enrique Torres Belon - An extraordinary construction both inside and out. It was designed specifically as a grave for Belon, and deserves to be considered among the major achievements in human bone anywhere in the world. It is still almost completely unknown and seldom visited by anyone outside of the region due to its incredibly remote location–Lampa is a tiny village (with all the skeletons in this tomb, there may very well be as many dead people as living in Lampa) Full Story At Link http://empiredelamort.com/charnels-and-ossuaries/lampa_peru_a/

Grič Tunnel is a pedestrian tunnel located in the city centre of Zagreb, Croatia, under the historic neighborhood of Grič (also called Gradec or Gornji Grad), which gave the tunnel its name. The tunnel consists of a central hall, which is connected by two passageways to Mesnička Street in the west and Stjepan Radić Street in the east, and four passageways extending to the south. It was built during World War II by the Ustaše government to serve both as a bomb shelter and a promenade, but following the war it quickly fell into disrepair and disuse. The tunnel saw renewed use only in the 1990s, hosting one of the first raves in Croatia, and functioning as a shelter during the Croatian War of Independence. In 2016, the tunnel was remodeled and opened to the public, serving as a tourist attraction and hosting cultural events. Planned expansions include a museum and a lift.
